Saratoga DWI

Part of the greater Albany area, Saratoga County attracts substantial tourism, mainly in the summer. The surge in population draws a lot of police for DUI enforcement. Many people from out of the area get caught up in this, often charged with DWAI. The bulk of DWI cases we see come from a few specific areas: I-87 in Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Malta, and Wilton Town Courts; Route 9 in Malta; and in the City of Saratoga Springs.

The Saratoga District Attorney is probably the best prosecutor's office in the region. This is not necessarily bad news if you've been charged. Unlike some other places, these ADAs will generally recognize when there are problems with the case. They are more willing to negotiate good deals in such cases, and make reasonable deals otherwise.

When no deal is offered, it is a little tougher because the DWI prosecutors in Saratoga make few mistakes. Still the police make enough errors that most defendants have a chance, and there's little or nothing to lose if there's no offer.
